Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
The educational rights and privacy of students of Oklahoma City Community College are governed by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974, as amended.

and procedures manual and are available upon request from the Records and Graduation
Services Office.
Gramm‑Leach‑Bliley Act (GLBA)
Oklahoma City Community College complies with the Gramm‑Leach‑Bliley Act (GLBA) and its implementing regulations, which require financial institutions — including institutions of higher education that participate in federal student financial aid programs — to protect the security and confidentiality of customer information.
In accordance with GLBA, OCCC maintains a comprehensive information security program that includes administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to:
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of covered financial information.

GLBA‑protected information may include certain nonpublic personal information related to students, parents, or other individuals who obtain financial products or services from OCCC, such as financial aid or tuition payment services.
Access to GLBA‑covered information is limited to authorized employees and service providers with a legitimate educational or business need to know the information.
Third‑party service providers that receive or process such information on behalf of OCCC are required to maintain appropriate safeguards consistent with GLBA requirements.
