We The Ghost, an Oklahoma-native band from the Tulsa area, will perform during Arts Festival Oklahoma at Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) Saturday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m. The unique and diverse sound of the band will be a great addition to the variety of talent to be seen and heard during the festival this year.
We The Ghost, having formed only two years ago, has managed to gain substantial momentum in the music scene not only in Oklahoma, but also across the country and even Europe. Their debut single “Let Me Know†debuted at #4 on the Billboard Chart for “Hot Singles.†We The Ghost also landed a sponsorship with Dr. Pepper who has launched a radio station advertising campaign that features the new single.
One trait that characterizes the band, making them both unique and modern, is their interest in genre fusion. Their music brings together the cool of indie rock with the beats of hip-hop, the drowning enthusiasm of dubstep, the funk of reggae, and the lyrics and melodies of pop music. Band songwriter, vocalist, guitarist and synthesizer player Beau Tyler holds high standards for each concert and wants fans to know it’s going to be worth it. “It’s going to be a massive show, there’s going to be a huge lightshow, we have our huge backdrop, the rock boxes. It’s definitely a spectacle, and it’s very crowd-oriented.â€
The Arts Festival Oklahoma crowd, along with others from the community, will certainly be pleased with the eclectic style and sound of We The Ghost.
