The Department of Cultural Programs aims to enrich the lives of students, staff, and the south Oklahoma City community at large, by fostering a thriving arts environment.
Because art has both instrumental and intrinsic benefits for individuals and society at-large, the College believes that people, notwithstanding their station in life, should have the opportunity to actively engage in the arts both as participants and patrons. To this end, OCCC’s Department of Cultural Programs provides affordable, or no-cost performing and visual arts experiences, as well as community arts outreach and education activities. Principal among these are:
- Performing Arts Series (PAS)
- Art exhibits in the Inasmuch Foundation Gallery
In addition, the Office of Cultural Programs oversees the use and rental of OCCC’s Visual and Performing Arts Center Theater, the Bruce Owen Theater, and the Inasmuch Foundation Art Gallery.
