New Student Residing Outside of the United States

Items Needed for Admission

1. Apply now.

2. Submit a current financial letter of support (no older than 60 days) showing the ability to finance the projected educational goals ($18,200). A prospective student must demonstrate that s/he can meet all expenses incurred while a student. A bank statement alone will not be accepted; also include the Student Financial Verification form signed by student's sponsor.

3. Provide proof of English proficiency by meeting one of the following:

  • Score a minimum of 500 on the paper-based TOEFL, 173 on the computer-based TOEFL, 61 on the internet-based TOEFL (IBT), or 5.5 on the IELTS.
  • 460 or higher on paper-based TOEFL or 48 internet-based TOEFL or 5.0 or higher on IELTS AND Minimum of 12 weeks of intensive English language study at an approved institution. At least two-thirds of the 12 weeks must be instruction at an advanced level.
  • Submit an official transcript reflecting 24 completed college hours of accredited college work at a college or university in the United States.
  • Submit an official U.S. high school transcript, with date of graduation, which indicates that all curricular requirements have been met. A list of curricular requirements is available from the Admissions Office.

4. Send all official transcripts reflecting accredited college work. If you have not attended another college, then all officially certified high school records must be submitted.

5. Submit a valid passport or birth certificate

It is recommended that students apply at least two months before the semester begins.

6. Submit a copy of your I-94 number found at cbp.gov/i94

7. Current copy of your I-20 student copy from the last school the student was authorized to attend.

Part time International Students must

When is the deadline for the application?

It is highly recommended that you apply at least 2 months before your first semester begins.

If you are currently an F-1 student transferring from a school in the United States you should apply at least a month before the semester begins.
