Dale Duke is from Bethany, Oklahoma.  She attended Putnam City West High School.  She earned her B.S. degree from Southern Nazarene University (Chemistry and Mathematics) and her M.Ed. degree from the University of Central Oklahoma (Secondary Education).

After teaching at Putnam City high school for 4 years, she began teaching as an adjunct at OCCC so that she could stay home with her children during the day. After her children were grown, she joined the staff at OCCC as a full-time professor of mathematics.
