GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES
CrossTrain X
This class takes the participant through a series of cardio and strength training exercises with relatively brief rest intervals in between. The purpose is to keep the heart rate elevated near the aerobic level without dropping off to ensure fast, dramatic fitness results. Since the program is fast-paced and offers variety, it can be more interesting than a typical class that focuses on only one aspect (cardio or strength). (Class Limited to 25)
HIIT/CIRCUIT
High-intensity, short-duration circuit training is a type of metabolic training that breaks the mold of traditional group exercise. Circuits consist of three to five compound exercises that challenge major upper- or lower-body muscle groups, as well as some type of cardiovascular interval for a complete workout. The circuits are structured using time or repetitions, and performed at an intensity level that creates a very high level of fatigue by the end of the circuit. Each 30 minute session will either be focused on cardio, strength or plyo and is chosen at instructors discretion. Rest is self-selected.
Sets & Reps Combo
This class is guaranteed to keep you motivated and moving! Each class offers a combination of land aerobics, sets and reps with weights, interval training and finishes with a section of Ab toning. (Class limited to 20)
Stretch
If you know you NEED to stretch more but feel Yoga isn't quite your thing then this is DEFINITELY the class for you! Simple, athletic based stretches will elongate tight muscles and tight muscles increase the risk for injury. Improve flexibility, mobility/range of motion, balance, posture, sleep, digestion and overall health. (Class limited to 25)
Tabata Cycle
This class is a fun, interval style class in which participants will spend time on and off the bike. Participants that are new to cycle can benefit from a Tabata style of class because intense bursts of cycling are followed by short recovery periods and then followed by floor exercises. The floor excercises can be modified to include all ages and fitness levels. This class covers all bases by incorporating, cardio, core and strength work.
TRX (Class Limit of 10)
Born in the Navy SEALs, Suspension Training bodyweight exercise develops strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. It requires the use of the TRX Suspension Trainer, a highly portable performance training tool that leverages gravity and the user’s body weight to complete hundreds of exercises. The TRX®
is fully integrated into the PT of all four branches of the US military, and can be found in the locker rooms of Major League Baseball teams, National Football League teams, UFC fighters, Olympic-level cyclists, swimmers & runners, to name a few!
Yoga (for beginners and relaxation)
This class is slow-paced and gentle and provides a good introduction to the basic yoga poses. Time is spent in each posture with attention placed on alignment, breath and purpose of pose. Slow down and learn to relax while invigorating your body, gaining elasticity, strength, flexibility, firmness, and confidence as you build self-reliance and inner peace. (Class limited to 10)
