Reach Higher Day
Oklahomans who have successfully completed more than 24-hours of college coursework, but have not yet finished a college degree will have the unique opportunity to get admitted, meet with an advisor, and enroll in college classes during Oklahoma City Community College’s Reach Higher Day on Friday, April 7, 2023.
Admissions, Records and Graduation, Student Life, TRIO, Student Success Advising, Financial Aid, and Recreation and Fitness will be available.
Events will include a cook-out, games, karaoke, photo booth, plus other fun activities.
The Reach Higher Day event will be held in the main building of Oklahoma City Community College from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Reach Higher Scholarship
This scholarship is designed for students who are within 9 hours of completing an associate’s degree at OCCC.
Details
The Reach Higher Scholarship is designed to encourage students who are within 9 credit hours of degree completion to return to OCCC to finish their degree. The scholarship will provide funds that can be used towards tuition, fees, or books. Only U.S. citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
The application deadline for this scholarship is April 23, 2023.
Eligibility Requirements
- Students must be within 9 credit hours of completing their degree
- Students cannot have previously earned a college degree.
- Students must meet schedule a meeting with a Student Success Advisor or Graduation Advisor or must attend our Reach Higher Day on April 7th, 2023 (register here: http://www.occc.edu/reconnect/)
- Students must enroll in Summer or Fall 2023
- Students must have a minimum 2.0 GPA
- Students must email Rhonda Uffen at ruffen@occc.edu for application
- Funds will not be awarded until after the add/drop date
