JORGE SAADE-SCAFF, Ecuador's most outstanding violinist, began studying the violin at the age of six at the "Antonio Neumane" National Conservatory of Music. He studied with Lemtao Erendi, concertmaster of the Tallin Symphony Orchestra in Tallin, Estonia, and Andrei Podgorsi, Director of the Gensin Institute in Moscow, Russia. He is a "Cum Laude" graduate from the University of Miami where he studied with violinist Thomas Moore and violist Pamela McConnell. As of 1995, he was the only Ecuadorian and Latin American accepted at the Mozarteum Institute in Salzburg, Austria, to study with violin virtuoso Ruggiero Ricci. Mr. Saade is a frequent soloist with the Pan American Symphony Orchestra of Washington, D.C. under the direction of Sergio Buslje, the Guayaquil Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Andrei Podgorni, Maime Leon and Patricio Asizaga, with the Ecuadorian Youth Symphony Orchestra and the "Antonio Neumane" Conservatory Chamber Orchestra. Jorge Saade is currently the Cultural Attaché of the Ecuadorian Embassy in Washington, D.C., Cultural Representative of Ecuador to the Organization of the American States, Vice-president of the Ibero-American Cultural Attaché Association in Washington, D.C. and Executive Director of the Ecuadorian Youth Symphony Orchestra Foundation.
