OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (April 4, 2023) —
On Thursday, April 20, Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) will host the Canadian Brass in the Visual and Performing Arts Center at 7:30 PM.
The event is part of OCCC’s ongoing commitment to providing cultural and educational experiences to the community and is the final show in this 25th Anniversary Performing Arts Series season.
“This has been an incredible season in many ways,” said OCCC Cultural Programs Director Lemuel Bardeguez. “Closing this year’s Series with the world-renowned Canadian Brass is a special way for OCCC to end its 25th Anniversary Celebration.”
In their forty-ninth season, the game-changing Canadian Brass has performed in virtually every central concert hall worldwide, with several million views on television. In addition, they have also sold two million copies of their albums worldwide. Singlehandedly, this fantastic five-person band has contributed nearly six hundred new works and arrangements to the brass quintet repertoire. Known for genre-bending versatility and lively performances, the award-winning Brass is almost single-handedly responsible for elevating the art of the brass quintet to what it is today.
