Many members of the OCCC faculty and staff feel serving our students is a calling. They take pride in watching students with a wide range of talent, skills and preparation come to OCCC and earn a life-altering college degree. But for scores of our faculty and staff, the investment in our students goes beyond their professional careers – that investment also comes from their own pocketbooks.
Each year, the Foundation for OCCC conducts an employee We Can! campaign, during which employees make an outright financial gift or pledge over the course of the year through payroll deduction. The We Can! campaign supports scholarships, the OCCC Food Pantry, student support programs and more. In the campaign that wrapped up in late November, about one-third of the full-time faculty and staff contributed financially.
