Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) announced today that the college will offer a mix of online, hybrid, and in-person classes beginning with their first eight-week fall term on August 17.
“We are all still coming to terms with what the world is going to look like for the foreseeable future,†said OCCC President Jerry Steward. “It is important that we meet students on their terms, wherever they feel safe and however they wish to pursue their education. We have created a safe and socially-distanced atmosphere on our campus for students who wish to join us, and we have built a robust and engaging online curriculum for students who prefer to take classes remotely.â€
OCCC’s summer term begins June 1, and although classes are all online, faculty and staff have already begun returning to campus. The college has applied stringent safety standards, including the mandatory use of face masks in shared spaces, temperature checks at entry points, social distancing spacers across campus and reduced seating in open areas.
