Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) has hired Bri Ramos as its new Senior Director of Community Engagement and Creative. Ramos is a Las Vegas native but has owned and run a successful marketing agency – The Buzz Brand – in Oklahoma City for the past six years. She is a significant piece in the now-completed rebuild of the college’s Marketing & PR department. Ramos will oversee the visual identity of the college and its more than 60 departments, sub-brands, satellite locations and nonprofit foundation. She received a Bachelor’s in Education from The University of Oklahoma, and thus brings a unique and non-traditional background to her work in the creative sector.
“Bri is such a significant creative force in our community,†said OCCC’s Executive Creative Director, Erick Worrell. “We worked as peers and colleagues in the private sector, and I’m so grateful for her trust and confidence in what we’re doing here. Building a culture of innovation and creativity takes truly innovative and creative people. We now have the very best of those people.â€
Ramos is a member of Salt & Light Leadership Training (SALLT); Loveworks Leadership, a nonprofit focused on entrepreneurship, leadership and character development for middle school students; a past speaker at the Internet Marketing Association; and an award recipient from Women in Leadership.
“I’ve always had a passion for helping our community grow and develop through creative ideas and solutions,†said Ramos. “OCCC is the best place to merge my mission and my creativity. I’m so excited to serve our students.â€
