JPMorgan Chase Foundation was recognized on March 12 as a recipient of the Business Partnership Excellence Award. Presented by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, the BPEA recognizes significant investments in community institutions. JPMorgan Chase Foundation received the award in recognition of its more than $500,000 investment in the students of Oklahoma City Community College since 2015.
“Everything we do at OCCC is designed to help students succeed and enrich our community,†said OCCC President Jerry Steward. “[JPMorgan Chase Foundation’s] investment in our students, the college, and our community cannot be overstated… You are helping transform the lives of our students and enrich our community.â€
With the funds invested, OCCC created the first and only Honda Professional Automotive Career Training (PACT) program in Oklahoma. The program trains technicians to properly service Honda and Acura automobiles. Graduates of the program receive an Associate in Applied Science and can expect successful placement with body shops and dealerships who specialize in servicing these vehicles.
