Qualified students with interest in pursuing a career in cybersecurity, have a unique opportunity to earn a full scholarship at Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) through the National Science Foundation (NSF) CyberCorps Scholarship for Service (SFS) program. The prestigious scholarship pays for full tuition and provides an allowance for related expenses such as textbooks, fees, professional certifications and travel. In addition, a stipend is paid each academic year in the amount of $22,500.

CyberCorps SFS is designed to increase and strengthen the number of cybersecurity professionals that protect the government’s critical information infrastructure. Graduates of the program will benefit from increased job prospects and are often highly sought after to work at government agencies such as the Army Corps of Engineers, National Security Agency, Department of Homeland Security, FBI, and all branches of the U.S. Armed Services.

To be eligible to apply for an SFS scholarship, applicants must be a citizen or lawful permanent U.S. resident and meet all requirements for employment in federal service. Applicants must have a previous bachelor’s degree in any discipline or be a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces and enroll in or transfer to, a cybersecurity-related program at OCCC by August 19, 2019.
