Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) Foundation is pleased to announce it has received a $12,000 grant from the Oklahoma City Community Foundation’s Parks and Public Space Initiative. The grant will be used to assist in funding tree plantings in community spaces on campus, which will allow OCCC to further enrich the Oklahoma City community.
“The Oklahoma City Community Foundation and the college share a vision of a beautiful, safe and healthy community, and this grant will provide funding for 36 trees to be planted on the north side of the campus,†said OCCC Foundation executive director Von Allen. “We are grateful for the Oklahoma City Community Foundation’s continued commitment to strong communities and appreciate its confidence in our ability to be a strong collaborator.â€
OCCC President Jerry Steward formally thanked Brian Dougherty of the Oklahoma City Community Foundation Parks and Public Space Initiative on behalf of the college at the OCCC Board of Regents meeting Monday, April 16, 2018.
