Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) and Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre (CityRep) present National Theatre Live! (NTL) “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time†in the OCCC Visual and Performing Arts Center (VPAC) Theater on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at 6 p.m.
“The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time†begins with fifteen-year-old Christopher, who stands beside Mrs. Shears’ dead dog. It has been speared with a garden fork, it is seven minutes after midnight and Christopher is under suspicion. He records each fact in the book he is writing to solve the mystery of who murdered Wellington. He has an extraordinary brain, exceptional at math while ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. He has never ventured alone beyond the end of his road, he detests being touched and he distrusts strangers. However, his detective work, forbidden by his father, takes him on a frightening journey that upturns his world.
Captured live from the National Theatre in London, this critically acclaimed production directed by Marianne Elliot (“Angels in America ,†“War Horseâ€) has astonished audiences around the world and has received seven Olivier and five Tony Awards.
All NTL events at OCCC are encore presentations pre-recorded in high-definition. The showing begins at 6 p.m. in the college’s VPAC Theater.
