Donations can be dropped off at Republic’s OKC Banking Center through Nov. 30
Republic Bank & Trust is helping serve students at Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) by collecting non-perishable food donations for the College’s newly created food pantry. Donations can be dropped off at Republic’s Oklahoma City Banking Center, located at 11671 South Western. The collection box will be accepting donations through Friday, Nov. 30.
“We are grateful for the community’s support for our students,” said Dr. Jeremy Thomas, vice president for enrollment and student services. “Research tells us that one in four community college students arrive on campus hungry. With the support of our faculty, staff, and businesses like Republic, we are working to eliminate food insecurity among our students.”
The OCCC Pantry opened earlier this semester. Current OCCC students may visit the pantry once per week and select items based on the size of their household. For more information about the OCCC Pantry or to make a monetary donation, visit www.occc.edu/hunger.
“We are privileged to partner with OCCC to help students in need,†Republic Bank & Trust Vice President Brent Colgan said. “It takes all of us in the community working together to take care of our friends and neighbors.â€
