Oklahoma City Community College’s (OCCC) Professional Development Institute (PDI), a center of excellence for continuing education and workforce development, offers entry-level training for the Commercial Food Equipment Service Technician (CFEST) program.
The CFEST program at PDI is an employer-based training program that focuses on the technical requirements of the industry. Developed in conjunction with area employers and the national Commercial Food Equipment Service Association (CFESA), the CFEST program offers a blended learning environment, including instructor-led training, online training, computerized and hands-on simulation, and hands-on troubleshooting. Technicians can expect to earn $11 – $30 per hour.
