Increase employee competency and reduce employer liability costs with SafeLandUSA Awareness at Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC). Participants will learn about safety hazards as well as accident prevention critical to oil and gas professionals that work to reduce the number of preventable accidents to zero.
The next class will be Monday, Feb. 23, at the Professional Development Institute, 7124 S. I-35 Service Road. Cost to attend this course is $150.
SafeLandUSA Awareness will include the following topics: Incident Reporting and Investigation, Accident Prevention, Hand Safety, Walking Working Surfaces, Job Safety Analysis, Material Handling, First-Aid/CPR/AED and Hazard Communications.
This course is designed specifically for the oil and gas industry, consistent with Environmental Health and Safety and recognized by multiple organizations. In addition, the program is certified by SafeLandUSA and the Energy Training Council of Oklahoma, of which OCCC is an authorized member.
SafeLandUSA is a volunteer organization comprised of major and independent operating companies, industry associations and educators with the purpose of developing and improving orientation standards for the U.S. Onshore Exploration and Production industry.
