Learn how to work in the electrical field with confidence at Oklahoma City Community College’s Electrical Training Program.
The course will be Mondays and Thursdays, June 1 – July 23, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Professional Development Institute, 7124 S. I-35 Service Road. Cost to attend this course is $795.
This is a 48-hour fundamental, hands-on course for both those who want to pursue an electrical work career and for those who want to learn how to complete their own electrical work. This program is geared to be fun with lots of practical knowledge and skills to apply in the electrical field.
Participants in the course will learn:
• Professionalism on the jobsite
• Electrical safety
• Electrical theory
• Electrical code
• Basic electrical hand tools
• Fundamental wiring principles (receptacles, switches, junction boxes)
• Conduit bending
If successful in the course, participants will be awarded a Certificate of Completion. Additionally, “on the job training” may be available depending on qualifications and contractor needs.
