Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) will offer Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Compression Technician Certification – Level 1 and provide the training and skill assessments required by Oklahoma to test the fitness and qualifications of an individual seeking Oklahoma Alternative Fuels Compression Technician Certification.
The two-day course will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 11-12, at the Professional Development Institute, 7124 I-35 Service Road. Cost for the course is $750 and includes exam fee. To sign-up online, go to www.campusce.net/occc/course/course.aspx?C=1129&pc=1&mc=&sc=.
This class will be taught by Craiton Cooper, director of the Alternative Fuels Technology Center. He has over eight years of automotive experience as a technician and 10 years of experience mentoring and training automotive technicians. Most recently, Cooper’s work has focused on training technicians to install safe CNG fuel systems as well as how to inspect and safely service alternative fueled vehicles. Cooper is a graduate from Oklahoma State University.
