Division of Health Professions Nursing
Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) offers a 70-71 credit hour nursing program. Graduates of this program are eligible to apply for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Students successfully completing the program will earn an Associate in Applied Science degree. OCCC offers three nursing track options:
- Traditional Pathway
- Baccalaureate to ADN Accelerated Nurse Pathway for individuals who have a Bachelor’s degree
- Career Ladder Pathway for LPNs and ParamedicsÂ
- Online Theory Content: Starting in the spring of 2025, OCCC Nursing has revamped our CLP program. Now, licensed LPNs and paramedics can earn their Registered Nurse (RN) degree with theory (class) content delivered online in just one year.Â
- In-Person Exams and Labs: We believe in hands-on learning. That’s why our CLP program combines online theory with in-person labs and exams. Join us on Tuesdays to practice essential clinical skills and connect with fellow students.
- Clinical Experience: In NP3 and NP4, you’ll gain real-world experience through one day a week of in-person clinicals at local hospitals. Â
Students must pass OCCC NUR1413 Role Transitions to progress into the nursing program. After successfully completing NUR1413 (with a grade of a C or greater), students are eligible to apply for 15 hours of credit for prior learning. See the student handbook for more information and pricing.  Students must attend on-campus exams, labs, and in-person clinicals.
