Graduation Services International Credit Evaluation
International Credit Evaluation
International College Transcripts are evaluated for currently enrolled students only. Students must declare a major before an evaluation can be requested.
If a student is only seeking a verification of degree for preference points toward a Health Professions application, a transcript evaluation is not required. Attach third-party evaluation to the Health Professions application.
Requirements for Evaluation
Currently enrolled students with International transcripts must then submit the following items:
1. An original transcript from the country of origin (if the student needs to keep the transcript, the Office of Records and Graduation will make a copy and return the original. If the original is not in English, it must be translated.
2. A Third Party Evaluation from an accredited evaluation service.
3. A completed International Transcript Evaluation Form (available here)
Evaluation Process
Upon completion of the evaluation, a message will be sent to the student's OCCC email address that details the credit to be granted. During the review of the international transcript, students may be asked to provide a course description and/or syllabus in order to be awarded credit.
Students will receive credit for only the courses needed for the degree that has been declared at OCCC. The credit will be awarded with a letter grade of "S" for Satisfactory.
International credits will be officially posted to the OCCC transcript once the student has completed 12 hours of college level credit at OCCC.
