Douglas Ball

Professor Ball began as full-time faculty at OCCC in Fall of 2021. He previously taught in the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program as an Adjunct Professor and Lab Instructor. He completed a MBA, with a Healthcare Administration emphasis, at Southern Nazarene University in 2015 and has worked as a Clinical Operations Manager. However, following his passion for occupational therapy, he completed the OTA program at OCCC in 2019 and as a licensed OTA, worked in a pediatric outpatient clinic. In addition, Professor Ball has experience in a variety of settings, including Inpatient Rehabilitation, Acute and ICU Care, and Home Health/Low Vision Rehabilitation. As a graduate of our OTA program, Professor Ball brings his “student-experience” and first-hand knowledge of the curriculum, from the student-perspective, to the classroom. As it is for our college, it is important to Professor Ball to support his community. He has served on school governance board’s and committees, volunteers with community organizations, and is active in state and national professional organizations.
