Email is accessible from any browser, email app or mobile device via outlook.com (faculty/staff) or outlook.com (students). Most applications will auto-configure your account once you’ve entered the correct email address and password, but if yours doesn’t auto-configure, use the setup instructions in the menu on this page to obtain the proper server, domain and security credentials required for your app or device.
What’s your email address?
For faculty and staff, the standard nomenclature for OCCC email is firstname.middleinitial.lastname@occc.edu (e.g. johnny.d.appleseed@occc.edu). Some users elect to have aliases that abbreviate their emails to firstinitiallastname@occc.edu (e.g. jappleseed@occc.edu).
For students, your email follows the same nomenclature, but adds “my” after the @ sign, like this: firstname.middleinitial.lastname@my.occc.edu (e.g. johnny.d.appleseed@my.occc.edu).
Bonus: Access Microsoft Office 365
Â
Your email address can be used to sign into the full Microsoft Office 365 suite, giving you access to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive and more. Just head over to office.com to log in, download Microsoft Office and install it (available for Windows and MacOS, Android and iOS/iPadOS), and sign in with your email and password.
What if I forgot my password (or it expired)?
It happens! Don’t sweat it. Head over to passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/Â (also in the menu on this page) to reset or update your password.
