About the Oklahoma Watermedia Association (OWA)
Formed in 1976, the Oklahoma Watermedia Association sponsors watermedia exhibitions for members and non-members. It also provides workshops, lectures, demonstrations, and critiques to artists of all ability levels in watercolor, acrylic and mixed media. OWA serves primarily the Oklahoma City area where most classes and exhibitions are held.
About the Mixed Media Collage Juried Exhibition
This exhibition is juried by a regionally well-known watermedia artist and consists of 50 to 80 pieces of innovative artwork, both 2D and 3D, ranging in size from quite small to large. The exhibition encourages experimentation of both design and materials and is open to all artists over 18 years of age in Oklahoma. Awards consist of Best-of-Show ($300), three Equal Merit awards ($100 each), as well as several merchandise awards. The selected entries, when grouped together to form an exhibit, reflect the diversity and excitement of mixed media art: non-objective, abstract, representational, experimental, and edgy works of the imagination.
