Students will develop the skills needed for database administration. Topics covered include software installation, the creation of new databases, database architecture, management of database files, administration of user accounts, roles, privileges and profiles, database performance monitoring, and database backup and recovery strategies. This course satisfies the computer proficiency requirement.
