Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) will be hosting the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) Industrial Technology Maintenance (ITM) Instructor Training Tuesday, April 24, through Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the college’s Professional Development Institute (PDI).
Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) welcomes Kathleen Smith in her new role as director of employment and employee relations. Smith most recently served as the director of intake and program services, and senior investigator, for the United States Center for SafeSport, in Denver, Colorado. At the center, Smith assessed and investigated sexual, physical and emotional misconduct complaints involving individuals associated with Olympic sports.
Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) students and employees walked in the Martin Luther King (MLK) Jr. Holiday Parade hosted Jan. 20 in downtown Oklahoma City. Thousands of attendees lined the streets to take part in the third-largest MLK Jr. Parade in the United States. This year’s theme was “40 Years Better Together,” and marked the 40th year of MLK Jr. Holiday Coalition’s involvement in the parade.
