Pharmacy Technician
Basic Prescriptions & Dispensing
This course consists of 48 classroom hours and prepares students for the national Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE).
Curriculum includes instruction on Oklahoma state regulations, insurance restrictions, mathematics, applicable law, nomenclature, basic IV admixture, computerized pharmacy systems and skills needed to work in retail pharmacies and hospitals. Coursework includes classroom exercises and competency reviews.
Prerequisites for the class include a high school diploma or GED, and you must have a clean background. A Certificate of Completion will be awarded upon successful completion of the class (80% or better). Students interested in obtaining certification are encouraged to register for the PTCE exam after completing this course.
The Pharmacy Technician program is taught by a certified Pharmacy Technician.

Time: 6-9 p.m.
Cost:Â $700 due at the time of registration
(Includes 48 hours of instruction, textbooks approved by the American Pharmacists Association, and access to OCCC's Math Lab.)
