Essential English 1 (bilingual)

An introduction to basic everyday English words and typical conversations to establish a good foundation that non-native and second-language speakers can build upon.

Mondays and Wednesdays: 9-11 a.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Cost: $50

Essential English 2 (bilingual)

The continuation of Essential English 1 designed to prepare students for adult literacy programs such as English as a Second Language (ESL) courses offered by OCCC.

English Language Introduction 1 (bilingual)

This course is for those who need to learn the alphabet, numbers, colors, and other very basic vocabulary words. By the end of the course, students will be able to say their names and spell them. They will be able to give their phone numbers and addresses to others. Also, learn and understand basic greetings.

Tuesdays and Thursdays: 9-11 a.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Cost: $50

English Language Introduction 2 (bilingual)

After English Language Introduction 1, students will learn how to construct basic sentences, ask questions, and formulate their answers. They will be able to use the verb "to be" as well as some regular verbs. By the end of the course, students will be able to have a simple conversation, make requests for necessities, and be prepared to start Essential English I.

Computer Skills (Spanish)

The Basic Computer course designed for beginners will cover the setting up and use of email, Word 2016, use of the internet and correct typing skills. In addition, this class is design to teach the basic uses of Excel and make a Power presentation to facilitate common task in business.

Skills for Success (bilingual)

This class is an introduction to business English, technology, and other skills needed to enter today’s technology-rich workforce. These skills include computer basics, internet, email, basic workforce English, job search and interviewing, customer service and much more.

ServSafe Food Safety Manager Certification (Spanish)

Earn your ServSafe Food Safety Manager Certification today! Required by the health department for those who serve food to the public. Classes and exams are in Spanish. Your training, textbook and exam are included.
