Oklahoma City Community College and SCORE Oklahoma City present the Simple Steps for Starting Your Business and the Simple Steps for Growing Your Business workshop series
Simple Steps for Starting Your Business (Fall 2023) and Simple Steps for Growing Your Business (Spring 2024) are two FREE six-part series of pre-business and existing business oriented workshops to help clients reach a “go or no-go” decision for a start-up or how to expand their business. The content is designed to work in conjunction with mentoring and includes homework for the client to complete. Theses programs are not designed to provide all of the information needed to start and expand a business, but rather to help the client decide whether he or she is ready to take the next step toward becoming an entrepreneur or increasing existing their marketshare.

Session 1 – Business Needs Assessment

SCORE will work with you to complete a Business Needs Assessment. This will help you discover areas where your company may have an opportunity for growth or improvement.
This is the first of the Simple Steps for Growing Your Business six-part series of business workshops designed to help you position your business for growth. The content is designed to work in conjunction with mentoring and includes homework for the to complete.
The first workshop will include an overview of the Simple Steps for Growing Your Business workshop series and help your company start formulating new goals for growing your company.
Session 2 – Human Resource Management

In the session 2 of the Simple Steps for Growing Your Business workshop series, you will be encouraged to take a close look at your companies and evaluate where your business might be weak. You will use this knowledge to determine if additional staff is necessary or if tasks should be outsourced to external resources to help achieve your company’s goals.

Session 4 – Human Resource Management
