Congratulations on becoming an OCCC student! So, what’s next?
The Office of Recruitment & Admissions is very excited that you have decided to join the OCCC family. We realize that starting college can be a complicated process with confusing steps. It is our goal to see that you succeed at OCCC and are here to help you in any way we can.
Follow this checklist to make sure you are prepared for your first semester!
Do you need to take placement testing? If your Admissions Outreach Advisor discussed or emailed you about testing, you will need to complete that step before you can visit with an Academic Advisor or enroll in classes.
Are you ready to meet with an Academic Advisor & enroll? Did you complete the required placements tests? Or do you have transfer credit or ACT scores that meet pre-requisites for enrollment? If so, then you will need to meet with Academic Advising before you can enroll.
Are you enrolled in classes? Have you met with an Academic Advisor and finished the enrollment process? If so, you are ready to visit Records to get your new student ID and parking decal.
Are you ready to buy your books? If you completed the enrollment process and picked up your OCCC ID and parking decal, then you are ready to visit the OCCC Bookstore.
Are you ready for New Student Orientation (NSO)? If you are ready for the first day of classes, then can’t miss NSO!
Ready for classes to start? Once you’ve checked everything off of your checklist, there are just a few more things you need to do to ensure your success at OCCC!
