Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) Department of Community Outreach and Education offers free citizenship classes throughout the Oklahoma City metro area. Not only are they offered at OCCC’s Family and Community Education Center and the OCCC Capitol Hill Center, but the college also partners with local schools, libraries and churches to offer classes.

“Our free citizenship classes provide excellent instruction for students who want to improve their English skills and who eventually want to become American citizens,†says Eric Beecher, ESL/Civics coordinator of the OCCC Adult Learning Center. “Our main goal for these classes is to provide a safe, learning environment where our students become fully prepared to meet the English and civics requirements of the USCIS Citizenship Test.â€

OCCC enrolls more than 20,000 students and has more than 90,000 participants in its various community programs annually.
