Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) will offer an online drone Remote Pilot Test Prep course October 20 – 27. This course prepares individuals for the Federal Aviation Administration exam to operate commercial small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS) without a pilot’s license or Section 333 exemption.
“We are offering students a truly unique opportunity,†said OCCC President Jerry Steward. “Drone technology continues to become more integral to nearly every major industry including communications, security, defense and even agriculture, and students can take the first step to legally piloting drones right here at OCCC.â€
Due to social distancing, the nine-hour course will be offered online. Students are not required to own a drone for this class but must have a computer with a camera, microphone and internet access. At the conclusion of the course, students will take a practice exam in preparation for the FAA exam.
