BiographyI enjoy working at OCCC because I believe in the power of an Associates Degree. I believe a large portion of my success in life is related to my completion of an Associates Degree.
After completing my A.A. and B.A., I served in the U.S. Army as an officer in the Field Artillery. In 2003 I was medically retired and had to plan for a new career. In 2005 I decided to go back to school and get a Ph.D. in Lifespan Developmental Psychology at Oklahoma State University. I completed my Ph.D. in Lifespan Developmental Psychology with an Emphasis in Statistics in 2010.
Much of my research has focused on body image, obesity, aggression, and social networks. However, I have publications and scholarly work in Clinical Psychology topics, such as illness uncertainty and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Overall, my hope is to help students find a career path that is best suited for them. I look forward to helping students understand the range of opportunities that are available to them in the field of Psychology. Most of all, I enjoy watching students achieve success in the academic environment.
