Biography

As a community college graduate herself, Professor Bloomberg is very familiar with the challenges that students face both inside and outside of the classroom. She credits her own professors for inspiring her to work hard as a student, to reach for her goals, and—most importantly—to have confidence in herself and to never give up. After graduating from Rose State College, Professor Bloomberg proceeded to complete a BA in English and an MA in Creative Writing, both from the University of Oklahoma. She is currently working on a second Master’s degree in Administrative Leadership. In regards to her teaching, Professor Bloomberg says: “I view my teaching as two-fold: I have the responsibility as well as the enjoyment of helping students be successful and reach their own goals. Teaching is my chance to give back to the community for the opportunities given to me through my own education.” In her spare time, Professor Bloomberg enjoys writing her own fiction and poetry, reading, and spending time with her family.
