Biography

M. Scott Carter is an award-winning investigative journalist with deep ties to his native state of Oklahoma.

Carter has worked at newspapers in Stillwater, Blackwell, Norman and Oklahoma City.

In addition, he has published two novels and won the Oklahoma Book Award for Young Adult fiction in 2012.

Carter's books have also earned the Gold Award for Young Adult Fiction from the National Association of Independent Publishers and Gold Award in YA fiction from Foreword Magazine.

Carter has a Masters Degree in Professional Writing from the University of Oklahoma. He also has Bachelors Degree in Journalism from OU and an Associate of Arts in Journalism from Northern Oklahoma College.
