Transfer to a 4 Year University - OSU

At Oklahoma City Community College, you can obtain an Engineering Associate's degree that will transfer as a Junior to a 4-year university to study the Engineering discipline of your choice. Due to our transfer agreements, you can choose your Engineering major at Oklahoma City Community College and take the courses needed to complete your Bachelor's degree.

For your Engineering Associate's degree at OCCC, the following Engineering course is required:   Professional Development. The remaining 12 to 15 hours can be chosen from a variety of Engineering Courses or Support Electives. These courses should be selected based on the requirements of your Engineering major at the transfer institution.

 ADMISSION APPLICATION TO OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY

  • The Admission Application for Oklahoma State is online and includes the Transfer Scholarship application. New users will need to create an account by clicking on the "new user" button to sign up for a free account with username and password. Don't forget the following:
    • Submit official transcripts from each college or university previously attended.  Transcripts have to be less than one year old. 
    • $40 application fee which can be paid online. 
    • If you are transferring with less than 24 credit hours, freshman materials must also be submitted (Official high school transcript showing GPA and class rank, and ACT or SAT scores).
    • Evidence of English Proficiency is required for all applicants for whom English is a second language (TOEFL examination).  A waiver of this requirement can be requested from transfer students who have earned 24 hours of college-level credit, with passing grades, at an English speaking recognized college or university.
    • Transfer GPA Requirements:
      •   7 - 23 credit hours:  2.25 GPA and Meet Freshman Requirements
      • 24 - 59 credit hours:  2.25 GPA
      • 60+ hours or associate degree:  2.0 GPA
      • Certain Engineering programs require a 2.7 GPA for Math, Science, and Engineering Courses to be admitted into the Professional School. 
  • Admission Application Deadlines:
    • Spring Semester: November 15
    • Summer Semester: April 15
    • Fall Semester:  July 1
  • Transfer Scholarships Deadlines:
    • Spring Semester:  October 15
    • Summer and Fall Semesters:  February 1
