Workforce Development

The College provides more than 60 degree and certification programs. Some of these programs offer the opportunity for student internships with hands-on experience combined with their academic pursuits. The following describes a few of these programs designed to meet workforce needs.

Automotive Technology - Partnerships with General Motors, ACDelco, and others prepare students to enter the automotive technology professions.

Biotechnology - Prepares students to become biotechnology technicians.

OCCC Capitol Hill Center - Funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, works in cooperation with Oklahoma City Schools to provide computer training and classes in English or Spanish for all ages.

Film and Video - Provides the opportunity to become trained in the technical aspects of film and video production.

Financial Services - Prepares students for immediate entry into the financial services and insurance industry.

Health Services - Offers numerous programs in the field of health professions to assist students in becoming immediately employable, such as Nursing, Emergency Medical Sciences (EMT), Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy.
